Rebecca Shubert

Rebecca Shubert, LMSW holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Education Studies from Vassar College and an Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University. Her areas of focus include multicultural and identity issues, non-traditional relationship structures, trauma, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ issues (with particular focus on transgender and gender non-conforming populations).

Her approach is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs. She views therapy as a way to collaborate with clients to facilitate growth and healing, and believes that cultivating a strong working relationship is essential to good therapy. To learn more about Rebecca, read her blog post here.

Rebecca recently completed a two-year certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Institute at New York Counseling and Guidance Services. She utilizes experiential methods of psychodrama and Internal Family Systems in her work. Rebecca has completed Anti-Racism Training through the Diversity and Resiliency Institute. Rebecca uses she/her or they/them pronouns.
